Ugly Duckling (SDP remix?)

I found SDP remix of Ugly Duckling.

Let It Out (SDP Remix)[iTMS JP]
It's cool... but what is this collaboration??
Digg! del.icio.us

I got AKG headphones.

As my expensive shure headphone came down, I got new headphones of AKG.
It's K12P.
It's not expensive, but I'm satisfied with the sound. It's better than Shure's one.

Recently, many headphones are going expensive under the misuse of "DESIGN". I really got bored with such a trend. Those are over 10000 yen and looks a machined skin metal.
And inner-ear headphones are also a trend. These headphones directly vibrate eardrum sealing-up earhole, doesn't it cause a deafness? I am affraid that.

Avex going to lounch J-pop songs on iTunes Music Store USA

I found that a Japanese record companyAvex is going to lounch J-pop songs on the Apple Store "USA".
M-flo, Boa, 浜崎歩 and ELT are already on the list. You can buy M-flo's songs already but other artists are not ready to be downloaded, just on the list.

It's really nice thing to "Export" Japanese songs to other countries via this kind of cutting technology of a download service. Japanese Music Industory is too conservative about it. Before argueing to oppose to foreign-made download providers, they gotta think to export our contents. Spread out our cultural contents and make a foreign money, yo.

Orchard Road is decollated.

Is he trying to hide in the box?

The dinner(?) at the conference site was too small like this.

So I go out to get anther dinner after the conference.

I went to Arab Street, but it seems little bit late to come.

There are some bars around the town.

Then I moved back to Bugis again, Looking for howkers.

I got a 豆花水; Fresh Brewed Soya Bean.

Day 3

Everyday, It's raining in a morning.
I tried to get a breakfast at Ruffle's place, I changed my mind and moved to Orchard Road again.

There is an Art Exhibition of the conference at an art college Today.
I moved to the place using a local bus after having a breakfast.

Ah, I forgot to take a picture of the bus.

Then Move,

Move,

Entering East Coast,

Then I took off the bus near the art college.

Here is the art college. Lassile SIA Art College.

I found him in the campus!

The campus was small but I got lost in the campus.

I saw some interesting works at the exhibition but I don't report those on this blog this time.
I just wanna report what I listen and what I eat on this blog, heehee.

After seeing the exhibition, I decided to move to Katong Area to have a lunch.
It looks close from here on a map. Big apartments around here.

Then walk,

walk,

It's hot...

I've already walking about a half hour.

Yeah, Katong is over there.

As I found a shopping center, I entered. I need 冷気.

The place was like a simple Chinese shopping center.

Oh, So many young guys glancing at PCs are there.
What they are doing!?

It wasn't a Internet cafe. PC game center.

Finally I got a cold drink.

I read on the guide book that there is unique noodle named "Rakusa" in Katong town.
I'm looking for Rakusa..

There were some Rakusa restaurants on the street.

I decide to enter this Rakusa Shop.
Because it seems popular and it says it's Original "正宗" Rakusa.

It's Rakusa. Noodle with Coconut's soup. good.

Then went back to a hotel watching TV in a local bus.

After Take a rest at a hotel, I went to Bugis.
There is a Chinese market behind a street.

Drink 甘蔗汁。

Then I did some work at a cafe.
Oh, I have only 20 min of wi-fi connection!
I check some e-mails and prepare for a presentation tomorrow, listening to Christal Kay's CD I bought yesterday at HMV.

It has a chinese title. 克莉絲朶・凱兒??

BTW, I wanted to buy some hindi CDs at Little India, but I don't know which CD is good. There are too many Mutu's VCDs there.

Today's dinner is....

... Also at a howkers. Not in Parco shopping mall, in front of Parco.

It's popular and clouded.

A chicken rice with...

A coffee. I wanted to try this.

It was the Tong Seng Coffee Shop "東成珈琲店”.

Day 2

Singapore Day 2.
Today was started to check out an article about Xiaxue on a newspaper...

So who she is!?

Anyway, after that, I moved to Bugis.
Yeah, we stayed near this station 4yrs ago.
Hey SEA guys, Do you remember the station which has SEIYU.

I got a juice. I don't know what flavor it is.

Then, I moved to Little India to get a lunch.

Today's lunch is here. "Karaikudi" restaurant or something...

It's good atmosphere.

I got a prawn plate. Looks nice.

I tried to eat by Indian way, using right hand.
Then I found one important fact.

Not only tastes, but also hands got HOT!

Yeah, I got it!

After the lunch, I go back to Bugis and do some work at a Starbucks in SEIYU.
Writing many e-mails, checking news...
About 2 hours or so.

After that work, I go by Arab street to by surveyors for my mother.

Then I moved to a conference place to do registration.
The place is near on the Orchard road.

It's not an Apple store. but the Apple "Center".

I walk by Borders again to buy some singaporean design magazines.
After the registration, I go back to a hotel once.

Today's dinner is... also China Town!

Prawn Noodle is a recommendation of this place,
but I ordered a Pork Rib Noodle cuz I ate prawns at lunch.

Day 1

I'm coming to Singapore!
It is not too hot, not cold, just a little bit humid.

It's second time to visit Singapore.
It was about 4 years ago and it was a study program of Stanford VIA.
This time, I came here for my research presentation.
I report only my private things on this blog, though.

Arriving at the airport around midnight and move to a hotel.

Oh, I found HMV. I should come here to buy some VCDs.

Why VCD? It's because it doesn't have region codes like DVD (region 3 here) and it's mpeg files copyable to iTunes.
DVD already got popular in Asia ,though. They still have a lot of VCD collections.

My hotel is cheap. The actual price was cheaper than a price on a guide book (why!?)
The hotel quality is, hum just suite for the price.
Anyway... I use dial up connection using a cable behind this phone.
10 Singapore cents per 3 min for local connection + 5 yen per min for international roaming of a provider (too expensive for the roaming).

Today, I went to the Orchard Road first.

Ah, I reminded 4 yrs ago. It's almost same.

Many promotions of drinks. It's nice to get free drinks.

I found HMV here again, but I didn't buy anything. Because a casher was too slow.
I bought 2 T-shirts at a brand-new EdHardy shop in a same building as HMV to pretend to be a celebrity.

I went to a food coart near Isetan, yeah here was a place I came 4 years ago.
I ate a fake Thai food (?) It wasn't good enough.

I bought a imported magazine for my business at Borders,
Then moved to Starbucks to get a Wi-fi connection.

Ah it's like a too much creams on Top.
I succeed to get Sigtel's Wi-fi wave like this.

But I can't enter the service with a credit card?

I tried to connect using iPass International Roaming.
How much does it cost? checking the provider's website, then...
... More than 40 yen per min. Tooooo expensive!!
I gotta disconnect it now! Ah I already paid about US$1 to just check how much it is!

The website says there is a prepaid card for the service,
but I don't see such a card in shops near here.
BTW, I found some SIM prepaid cards of Singtel for cellphones.
I am thinking to buy a SIM cellphone, because I trip to Asian and European countries many time recently.

Finally I found Singtel shop. Say Hello to Singtel!

A passport and a signature is required to just get a card.
It's S$30 for 100 min. It's not chap enough but average.
Anyway, I can work with an internet connection.

The place of a conference I attend is near here, so I will come here again too.
I move to China Town.
I didn't use a subway, I like to walk through town to town when I go to a foreign place.
Because towns are really close in a big city like Singapore, Hong Kong, Paris, London and Tokyo also.
And once I walked, I will get locality.

I went by a Kinokuniya Bookstore. It was in a shabby shopping center.

I bought a pack of name card papers and a stamp kit.
It's because I forgot to bring a name card...
But it's nice idea to use a stamp kit, isn't it?

Ah, I saw this scene last time too!
It's Clark Key.

It takes about 30 min to get the China Town.

Looking through a chinese shopping center,

Then I decide to have a dinner at this porridge place.

I got No.2 (Fish Porridge) and No.19 (Chicken Foot) on the menu.

This chicken foot is good!

I got thirsty.

I have a stereotype that Chinese likes an iced lemon tea.
Is it true?

Ah, Chinese break dance? No.

I reminded that i also came here at last study program.
I may come here again to get a dinner tomorrow.

I came back to a hotel to take a shower.

I bought a Lux "スーパーリッチ" Shumpoo,
but I can't open a silver thing on a top.

After I succeed to open up the sumpoo and take a shower.
I came to a Starbucks near the hotel.

Then, I made name cards.
This is the stamp set I got at Kinokuniya.
Shiny's Self-Inking Printing Kit S-883.

Putting word by word like this.

Yeah, I got all words on it!

I could made 'bout 100 name cards in a minute.

OK, I'll upload this article using the SingTel Wi-Fi.
