How to import analog records into iTunes (w/ Mac)
アナログレコードからiTunesに曲を取り込む方法（マック版）
There are some OSX softwares to record sound to Mac. I am Using
felt tip's "sound studio". It's good, which can be used to record a meeting also. It got a little bit expensive chenging the price when it released Ver.3 though... You may use a half month trial.
OSXで録音するソフトはいくつかありますが、私が使っているのは
felt tip's "sound studio"というものです。なかなか使いやすいソフト（テレコ代わりに会議を録音したり）ですが、最近バージョンアップして値段が上がったのが難点。とりあえず半月ぐらいトライアルが使えるはずです。
First, you need to connect your mac and a turntable. In my case, connect the line-output of DJ Mixer and the line-input of Powerbook with a stereo cable as the pictures.
まず、ターンテーブルとマックを繋ぎましょう。私の場合は、DJミキサーのラインアウトと、Powerbookのラインインを写真のように繋ぎます。
Running the Sound studio, open "Preference" from the menu. Check the input source is selected to right one on the Audio Preference. (In this case "Line-in", not internal-microphone)
Sound Studioを起動して、環境設定を開きます。オーディオ設定で正しい入力（今回はライン入力）が選ばれていることを確認します。
Next, let's play a record to be recorded to check the volume level. (This process should be done everytime you change a record because each record has different levels.)
次に、レコードのボリュームレベルを確認するために、レコードを再生してみましょう。（レコードはそれぞれ録音レベルがバラバラなので、この作業は、レコードを取り替えるたびに行われるべきです。
Checking the level meter on SoundStudio, Roughly adjust the level using a volume of the mixer. Then adjust it carefully on the SoundStudio. The best peak level is around -1.0 to -0.0 on the peak level meter, not less or more than that.
SoundStudioのレベルメータを見ながら、ミキサーのボリュームでだいたいの音量を合わせます。次に、SoundStudioの音量で細かく調整しましょう。メータ上のピークレベルが大体-1.0 -0.0の間にくるようにします。
Puting the needle on the beginning of a record, play the record as soon as you push the Rec button of SoundStudio.
曲の最初に針をおき、SoundStudioの録音ボタンをクリックするやいなや、レコードを再生します。
After stpping the recording, you will get like this. Select blanks on the beginning and the end of the song with drugging, then cut it.
録音をとめるとこんな感じになります。曲のはじめと最後の無音部分を、ドラッグで選んでカットします。
Save the file with a name (it will be changed later). Default is AIFF, but you can choose MP3 and AAC if you have a purchased one.
適当な名前をつけて保存します。（後でファイル名は変わります）。デフォルトフォーマットはAIFFですが、MP3やAACで保存してもいいでしょう。
Move the file into a iTunes playlist with Drug&Drop. The song will be copied into the list.
保存したファイルをiTunesのプレイリストにドラッグドロップします。リストに曲がコピーされます。
Selecting the song copied on the list, open an information window of the song with "Apple+i" keys. Input the song info reading the records credits. (You may also find a lyrics from the internet)
コピーされたらリスト上で曲を選び、「リンゴ＋i」で、曲の情報を出します。レコードのクレジットを見ながら、曲の情報を入力します。（歌詞はもしかしたらインターネットで見つかるかもしれません。）
If you have a picture of the record jacket, you will import it onto iTunes. You can do it with drag&drop.
もしレコードジャケットの写真があれば、ドラッグドロップでiTunesに取り込みましょう。
That's it. It's really simple.
It will be good to manage your collection list on
"Discogs.com". I will talk about it nexttime.
