Last.FMの始めかた(マックOSX版)
Last.FMはどんな音楽を聴いているか友達と共有したり、自分の聞いている曲と関連した曲を再生できたりできる、ウェブのサービスです。基本的に無料で合法です。いまは英語のサービスしか有りませんが、
Excite Japanとの提携を伊藤忠が間に入ってまとめたらしいので、近いうちに日本に進出する予定となっています。
Last.FM is a social network serviceo of Music. You can share an info of songs you’re listenin’ to, or looking for a song by tags or similarities. It is free and legal. Now the service is only in English, however it will be imported to Japan soon with a license to
Excite.jp.
このサービスを使うにはまず、Lats.FMを訪れて、アカウントを作ります。真ん中のSign Upか、右上のSign Upからアカウントを作りましょう。
To start using this service, you need an account. You will find “sign up” on the site.
最初に、自分の好きな名前でユーザー名を決めて、メールアドレスとパスワードを登録します。すでにユーザ名がとられていたら、別の名前を考えましょう。
Choose a user name you like, and you need to register your mail address and a password. If the name has already taken, you need choose another one.
アカウントが出来ると、次のステップで2つのツールをダウンロードします。バーから自分のOSを選んでダウンロードしましょう。
On the next step of the registration, you need to download two tools. Choose a right OS on a menu bar.
OSXの場合ダウンロードするソフトは、LastFmPlayerとiscrobblerという２つのソフトです。
LastFmPlayerは、LastFmに公開されている曲を聴くためのソフトです。
Iscrobblerは、iTunesで聞いている曲のリストをLast.Fmに通知するソフトです。
If you’re using OSX, you will download LastFmPlayer and iscrobbler. LastFMPlayer is a software to listen to a song on the LastFM service. Iscrobbler is a background software reporting a list of what you are listenin’ on iTunes to LastFM.
Playerは、ディスクイメージを開くと、こんな感じなので「アプリケーション」フォルダにコピーしましょう。
Let’s copy an application in the disk-image to the “Application” Folder.
iScrobblerも開いたら、「アプリケーション」にコピーしましょう。
Copy iscrobbler into the “Application” Folder also.
iscrobberは一度立ち上げると、消去しない限り次回から勝手に立ち上がるようになります。Iscrobberはドックには現れませんが、メニューに音符マークがでるので開いてみると、下の写真の用に、自分の聞いた曲リストや、Last.FMへのリンクなどが出てきます。
Once you run iscrobbler, it will run automatically everytime you use a mac, until you delete the file.
ダウンロードしたソフトのセットアップがすんだら、登録ページでStep3に行って自分のページが出来たのを確認しましょう。Last.fmをにはいろいろソーシャルな機能が有るので、いろいろ遊んでみて使いこなしてください。
Setting up the software, move to Step 3 on the registration site. You will see your page on Last.Fm.
たとえば、友達もアカウントを持っていたら、サーチをかけると
Last.FM has some social functions. for example, if your friend has an account
こんな感じで、出てきます。友達登録をしておきましょう。
Let’s search him/her. And it will appear like this. Let’s add him/her on your friend list.
基本的に、自分がiTunesで聴いている曲のリストだけがLast.FM上に公開されますが、Last.FM Playerで曲を聴くこともできます。
Basically, Last.FM shows what you’re listening to using iTunes, but you can also listen to some other songs Running the Last.FM Player.
再生ボタンを押すと、RadioControlが出てくるので、たとえば、Similar Artist Radioとして、誰かお気に入りのアーティスト名を入れてみましょう。関連する曲、似た曲が自動的に流れてきます。
Click the play button on the bottom. It opens Radio Control. Put an artist name on the “Similar Artist” field. It will play songs related to, and similar to songs of the artist.
